I would personally match whatever SODIMM you have in your laptop with the same memory configuration (Both single or dual Rank memories the small speed delta is probably not noticeable in real average use)

They will work in dual channel configuration with a dual Rank SODIMM but at a slightly reduced memory bandwidth speed (~12.8 vs. (The 1x8 chip configuration SODIMMs) These work well with other single rank memories in Dual Channel motherboards. These are Rank "1" or "Single" Rank memory modules. Arrived in 3-4 days after purchase via USPS.Ĭheck the "Rank" of your memory before ordering. I purchased this from Anthlas Technology. Now my system is noticeably faster and programs do not take too long to start up anymore. All I needed was more RAM for browser cache and other programs to work with so that there will be less memory swapping (which cause slowdowns). I did not test it for speed so I cannot attest how fast these RAM are. Checked the system specs and true enough the additional RAM showed up. Started up my computer and detected the additional RAM with no problems at all. Tape was intact which gives me assurance that it was never opened. Came in a hard plastic box, sealed with tape which needs to be torn to open the box. I was at first skeptical about buying non-branded RAM chips but the price differential was significant enough between the branded Samsung/Transcend/Crucial/etc and the non-branded ones to give the non-branded ones a try. From Samsung to generic brands from China. There are quite a number of identical RAM of the type I was looking for to upgrade my laptop.
